Social Impact and Sustainability Coordinator

Cooley is seeking a Social Impact & Sustainability Coordinator to join the Social Impact & Sustainability (SIS) team.

Hybrid Schedule Philosophy: As part of the Cooley culture, we recognize and appreciate the value of being together, in person, to build comradery with others in the office and to be a contributing member of the Cooley office. However, we also appreciate the benefits and flexibility that come from remote working. As such, the default assumption for employees and partners is a hybrid schedule: some in-office presence and some work from home days absent certain essential in-office roles that require five (5) days/week in-office.

Position summary: The Social Impact & Sustainability Coordinator is the centralized resource responsible for providing high-level administrative, project support and coordination for SIS initiatives. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position responsibilities:

  • Assist with data entry, data management, and reporting through employee giving platform, Benevity, and other tools used by the SIS team
  • Clean, audit, and maintain large datasets with strong attention to accuracy and data integrity
  • Build reports, dashboards, and summary analyses from raw data for team and firm stakeholder use
  • Prepare and maintain various PowerPoint presentations, Excel files, and Word documents for SIS team
  • Project manage nonprofit event sponsorship tasks monitoring marketing and RSVP deadlines, drafting office invitations, coordinating with internal teams and nonprofit partners, etc
  • Accurately input, track, and maintain funding requests, sponsorship details, and related records within the firm's grants management platform
  • Serve as point of contact to attorneys and business professionals on SIS procedures/questions
  • Support Social Impact Manager with local office and firmwide event planning and logistics
  • Draft internal communications and toolkits in support of SIS initiatives
  • Support local offices with SIS initiative creation and maintenance on employee giving platform
  • Assist with nonprofit research to ensure alignment with firm charitable giving policies
  • Code department invoices and send to Accounting & Finance for processing
  • Monitor SIS mailbox, respond to inquiries, flag time-sensitive communications for SIS team
  • Assist SIS Director, SIS Manager and Pro Bono Partner with SIS projects and initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills and experience:

Required:

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Available to work overtime, as required
  • 2+ years' prior administrative experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous law firm experience
  • Previous legal secretary and/or executive assistant experience helpful

  • Comfortable managing and maintaining multiple spreadsheets, trackers, and databases

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $28.50 - $42.00 ($59,280.00 - $87,360.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
