POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for circulating throughout assigned casino areas and serving guests on the Slot Machines by assisting with winning voucher tickets, making change for players, and assisting players with the rules of the games.


Top 5 Specific Job Functions:

  • Greet and welcome guests, establish rapport, and provide excellent service by answering questions, resolving disputes, and adhering to guest requests
  • Provide slot guests with personalized attention, as well as promote, process, and enroll new Players Club members
  • Maintain general property knowledge, casino promotions, Slot Marketing activities/events, and act as an informational resource for all guest inquiries
  • Monitor the assigned area and attend to the guest's needs by responding to jackpots and ensuring a comfortable guest experience
  • Perform minor machine repairs


Other Specific Job Functions:

  • Slot Ambassadors proactively build relationships with guests. This helps them promote special programs of the casino
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company's mission 
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations  
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or security of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
  • Show a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
  • Each Slot Ambassador looks after several slot machines, ensuring their proper functioning. The Ambassador also ensures the safety and comfort of the slot players
  • Protects company assets
  • Accurately maintain a cash pouch involving company funds
  • Verify and ID guests to ensure players are of legal gaming age
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward guests as well as other team members
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements


Required:

  • High School Diploma 
  • Excellence in guest services
  • Basic knowledge of a computer
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Must be able to tolerate stressful situations and frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to get along with team members and work well as a team
  • Must be able to learn all of the Slot games and explain the rules to guests
  • Must possess basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, to specific responsibilities; counting money accurately and balancing cash bank

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Title 31
  • At least 6 months to a year of Slots experience
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
