Communication manages the City of Huntsville government channel, digital newsletters, media relations, City websites, text alert notifications, social media channels, video production, marketing, and branding. Communications Specialist Position Overview: This is technical and administrative work in the implementation and coordination for the City of Huntsville's marketing and communication efforts. Develops and supports the City's messaging, branding, and strategic initiatives across multiple platforms, including but not limited to website design and content, newsletters and print materials, social media, vlogs, blogs, photography, invitations, online town forums, mobile applications, presentations and HSV TV.

Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Broadcasting, or related field and at least three years' experience in digital media, website development, television programming, broadcast journalism, public relations or business-related field. Internships may be considered as experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
