Plantscape Designer | Entry Level Landscape Designer

Cross Creek Nursery & Landscaping is looking for a creative, motivated, and sales-oriented Entry Level Landscape Designer to join our team.

AtCross Creek Nursery & Landscaping, our Landscape Designers work directly with homeowners to develop thoughtful, plant focused outdoor spaces that bring their ideas to life. From foundation plantings and new landscape beds to drainage solutions and complete softscape designs, you will guide clients through the design process from the initial consultation through the final proposal.


This is anentry level opportunity for someone who is creative, motivated, comfortable working with customers, and excited to develop their skills in landscape design and sales.


What You'll Do

Schedule and conduct landscape design consultations with customers
Visit residential properties to evaluate sites and understand client needs
Meet with clients to discuss goals, preferences, budgets, and project ideas
Take accurate site measurements and document existing conditions
Develop residential landscape designs and planting plans
Create CAD and Dynascape drawings and visual presentations
Select appropriate plant material based on site conditions, aesthetics, seasonal interest, and maintenance needs
Prepare accurate estimates and design proposals
Present landscape designs and recommendations directly to clients
Revise designs based on client feedback
Build strong customer relationships throughout the design and sales process
Maintain clear and timely communication with customers
Work collaboratively with our landscape installation, nursery, and maintenance teams


What We're Looking For

Self motivated and driven individual who takes initiative
Sales oriented mindset with an interest in client consultation and closing projects
Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
Creative eye and passion for landscape design and plants
Comfortable working directly with customers and presenting ideas
Ability to learn and use landscape design, CAD, Dynascape, and measurement tools
Basic knowledge of horticulture and regional plant material
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Previous sales, customer service, or client consultation experience is a plus
Experience in horticulture, landscaping, nursery, or the green industry is preferred


Bonus Points If You Have

Degree, certification, or formal training in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field
Strong knowledge of regional plant material, including plant selection, growth habits, seasonal performance, and maintenance requirements
Knowledge of hardscape integration, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces
Experience working in a nursery, garden center, landscape installation, or landscape maintenance environment
Strong plant identification and plant health care knowledge
Experience using CAD, Dynascape, or other landscape design software
Experience presenting landscape concepts to clients and confidently explaining plant selections, layouts, and design recommendations
