Job Description

Job Summary: Eurofins Viral Safety is seeking an entry level Cell Culture Associate Scientist to join their team in Lancaster, PA.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform aseptic tissue culture techniques such as expansion and seeding of adherent and suspension tissue culture lines, including numerous mammalian and insect culture cell lines.
  • Perform common lab skills include microscopy, aseptic media preparation, mechanical pipetting, serial dilution preparations, and basic calculations including the use of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Perform tissue culture based analytical testing including growth promotion testing of media components.
  • Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability
  • Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
  • Document work as required for GMP compliance
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular or cell biology, or-related field or other related degree concentration,
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies 
Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, M-F 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. No relocation assistance will be given. This position is NOT remote.
