Job description

Refrigeration Technician

Location: Mansfield, MA
Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (NOT entry-level)
Schedule: Full-time | Onsite

This is not a facilities maintenance or HVAC repair role. This position focuses on capital equipment, multi-stage refrigeration systems, and complex system testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Charge, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair single-stage, cascade, and multi-stage refrigeration systems
  • Use blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, manuals, and specifications
  • Assist engineers with test plans, evaluation procedures, and system qualification
  • Fabricate, assemble, test, and repair refrigeration systems used in environmental testing equipment
  • Test lines, components, and connections for leaks using leak-detection tools
  • Evacuate systems, remove moisture, and charge equipment with proper refrigerants
  • Record temperature/pressure readings and maintain detailed documentation
  • Diagnose system issues at all assembly levels

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with complex refrigeration systems (NOT entry-level)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting background
  • Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and refrigeration piping drawings
  • EPA Certification required
  • Experience with capital equipment preferred
