The Technical Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for providing technical support (application and product), pricing and product availability to assigned region including distributors, OEM's and the HYDAC sales team. This is an onsite position in Bethlehem, PA.


You will make an impact in this role by:


Tasks:

  • Select HYDAC product via crossing over competitive products to HYDAC
  • Determine similar products, when selected product is not available - product conversions (what product can be used instead that have more readily available)
  • Assist customers with product selection/ configuration
  • Assist customers with applications utilizing our products
  • Answer product specification questions via spec sheet, catalog, or working with Product Division
  • Communication product features and differentiation between products
  • Work with Technical Support with the Product Divisions to answer technical questions, select products, etc. when necessary
  • Work closely with Customer Service to assist customers with lead-time and product selection issues
  • Assist with quote development for HYDAC sales team
  • Communicate price and delivery when needed
  • Assist in expediting and relay delivery status when needed
  • Follow up and monitor leads distributed within region to Distribution or HYDAC sales
  • Assist in supporting House Accounts within region (making virtual calls to customers)
  • Assist in target marketing and sales efforts by making phone calls to targeted markets and customers
  • Potentially visit customers or distributors for training or technical assistance

Requirements


To be considered for the Technical Inside Sales Specialist role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:


Skills and Attributes:

  • Technical capability to understand and recommend product
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical specification from catalog or specification sheet
  • Ability to develop and foster customer relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cross-functional relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including writing business correspondence
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel when needed
  • Ability to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets and word processing software
  • Ability to work in SAP
  • Ability to work independently to set daily priorities and workload


Experience And Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience or education in fluid power, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics
  • Technical support experience preferred
