Position Summary
The NS2 Cloud Associate Project Manager will provide associate level leadership on selected projects in our emerging Cloud portfolio of products. This team member will be part of the Cloud PMO team at NS2. The Associate Project Manager will support the planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and reporting of technical projects. This role will work with SAP teams, technical staff, Functional managers, and Senior Leadership to gain understanding of project requirements, track, and report project progress, as well as track and manage issue mitigation.
General Responsibilities:
Manages small to medium scope projects independently and partners with or works under the guidance of Senior Project Managers on large complex Projects.
Detailed responsibilities include:
  • Manages technical project planning, monitoring and controlling the project performance
  • Assist PMO Directors to implement portfolio, program and project management best practices
  • Evaluates project related situations accurately and identify viable solutions that create successful outcomes.
  • Analyzes risk, establish contingency/response plans, identify trigger events, and establish responsibilities for initiating mitigating action
  • Communicate project status, issues and risks timely to all stake holders, cross functional teams and managers.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables
  • Manages the financial aspects of the project
  • Determines what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in the high-tech industry
  • Basic understanding of applications, technical infrastructure, cloud, networks, data, and security
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.
  • Knowledge of stakeholder roles within an IT project such as Architects, Developers, Engineers, Testers, etc.
  • Experience in Project Management leadership preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels using metrics, data, and presentations.
  • Strong multi-tasking and analytical/troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent team player with a high degree of integrity and passion who can work effectively both within the team and cross-functionally.
  • Certifications: PMP or CSM preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Service NOW SPM, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication methods to work effectively with outside organizations
  • Ability and commitment to executing a development plan and getting PMP certified.
