Job description

Rustica is currently hiring a Painter. This individual will paint wood doors and components prior to packaging. The painters at Rustica are responsible for ensuring flawless product finishing, while leaving some leeway for creativity and innovation with regards to processes used. This is an entry level position and training will be provided.

Job Details:

  • Apply high-end finishes on wood and metal doors and door parts
  • Responsible for final door and component prep and paint application, including but not limited to: paint mixing, paint application, use of varnish, enamel, lacquers, etc.
  • Maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices
  • Work efficiently and meet deadlines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience painting various wood and metal surfaces preferred but willing to train
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and color theory is a plus
  • Ability to work with various painting materials and tools helpful
  • High attention to detail required, along with creativity and an artistic mindset
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally throughout the shift and stand 8+ hrs./day

We are looking for someone looking to grow with a company, and who has a proven history of long-term employment. The ideal candidate will have a sense of urgency, as well as innovative and continually looking for improvements to processes.

Hours: M-Th 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
