Job description

UT Health Tyler is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the UT Tyler School of Medicine faculty. The position is located in Tyler, Texas, a Level I Trauma Center in East Texas.

Job Overview

The role involves teaching, clinical service, and participation in resident and medical student education within a leading academic environment. The faculty member will collaborate with surgeons and other clinicians in advancing patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities
  • 42 weeks of service with 10 weeks off
  • Perform CV cases including CABG (on & off pump), valve surgery, aortic dissections, root replacements, ECMO, TAVR, and mitral clip procedures
  • Daily collaboration with two CV physicians on surgeries
  • Participate in CV case call rotations
  • Faculty duties in resident education and medical student instruction
  • Provide occasional general shifts (trauma, endo, vascular, ENT, neuro)
  • Utilize Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology for documentation and workflow efficiency
