***This position is for a Control Room Operator based at Royal Bank Plaza in downtown Toronto***

About the role

You will act as a building systems expert in identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Ensure that the tenants have a safe and comfortable work environment for Royal Bank Plaza. Responsible for operating and maintaining all building equipment and systems in a manner that ensures all quality standards are upheld on a 12-hour rotating Continental shift between two weeks of day shift (7am-7pm) and two weeks of night shifts (7pm-7am). Weekend and Stat holiday coverage will be required if the scheduled shift falls on those days. Please note, overtime hours may be required.

  • You build positive working relationships not only with tenants but also with your team members, sharing your expertise and collaborating as a group.

  • You work with minimal supervision and bring your technical expertise to a high-performing team.

  • You are comfortable working with technology and seek innovative ways to enhance processes.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in building operations and maintenance of facilities with commercial assets such as data centers and/or class A+ office buildings

  • BES 1&2 or 4th Class Power Engineer certificate

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot/ identify opportunities and develop/implement action plans

  • Proficient user of a Building Automation System

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive tasks.

  • Flexible in working hours and able to respond to emergencies after hours

  • Downtown Toronto office experience
