Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will play a crucial role in heavy modifications, focusing on projects such as the Hercules C130, Citation 550 & 560, and interior upgrades on the 737. Your expertise will be integral to the fabrication, installation, and assembly of avionics and electrical parts in accordance with applicable manufacturing drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Work on heavy modifications including the Hercules C130, Citation 550 & 560, and CH47s.
• Install larger components off the aircraft and support off-aircraft systems.
• Fabricate avionics and electrical parts and assemblies according to manufacturing drawings and manuals.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Deliver products conforming to type design by adhering to quality systems and SOPs.
• Ensure installations are compliant with Canadian Aviation and FAA regulations.
• Identify non-conformances and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Plan and execute avionics installation projects with precision.
• Communicate effectively with peers and manufacturers.
• Ensure the use of calibrated tools and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of installation experience with avionics systems
• Ability to run comb and clamp harnesses.
• Experience with avionics and electrical systems on Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Bombardier, and Cessna.
• TCCA Approved Avionics or Accredited Avionics course.
• Strong familiarity with leading avionics brands such as Garmin, Becker, Collins, and Honeywell.
• Experience with maintenance and installation of aircraft avionics and related systems.
• A&P license or AME E preferred

Work Environment

You will be working alongside avionics technicians with flexible hours. The schedule offers flexibility with options like 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and involves 60-hour work weeks. Accommodations are provided, and per diem is offered for travel. Transportation includes shuttle services and company vehicles for local travel. Please note that this position is located in British Columbia on rotation from Contractor's home province from anywhere within Canada.
