Job Title: Road Crew LaborerOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for Road Crew Laborers.Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:• Have the ability and willingness to dig, spread and level construction materials with a shovel• Work with others to help complete tasks in a timely manner• Varying types of work including: digging, flagging, concrete work, backfill pipe• Basic troubleshootingRequired Skills/Abilities:• Reliable transportation to and from work• Strong work ethic• Physical Organization and time management• Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary including overnights• Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools• CDL License a plus• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted• Consent to a DMV license evaluation• Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:• Must be able to lift up to 0 pounds• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:• Ability to read and understand SDS• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)• High school diploma or GED - a two year technical degree is preferred• Basic math skillsPosition is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame.
