Job description

Orbis Surgery Center is seeking a dynamic and energetic entry-level Registered Nurse for our Clear Lake Surgery Center.
This a full-time position. We are open Monday-Friday with no call, holidays, or weekends. This position is primarily located at our Clear Lake location. Orbis Surgery Center provides state of the art care to patients with a focus on those with end stage renal disease who require dialysis access care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive nursing care to patients in the perioperative setting including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative recovery areas.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and effective nursing care from pre-op to recovery.
  • Gather clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history.
  • Provide ongoing patient information to the interventionist/surgeon and clinical team during procedures including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, Aldrete score, pain status, and patient vital signs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the OR during a case as the circulating RN.
  • Maintain radiation safety when C-Arm is in use in the procedure room.
  • Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
  • Manage the patient's care and medication, including assisting with anesthesia and administering conscious sedation as monitoring RN.
  • Consistently review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
  • Observe all OSHA and radiation safety monitoring policies.
  • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position.

Qualifications
  • ADN degree from accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Valid RN State of Texas License or Compact License
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
