Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) has an opening for an entry level Estimator in our growing Estimating Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers seamlessly transitions solutions from design to construction through the collaborative efforts of Design Engineering, Design Management, Proposals, Estimating, and Integrated Project Controls. Location
This position is based in our Lone Tree, Colorado office.
Responsibilities
• Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).
• Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market.
• Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.
• Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.
• Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.
• Performing site visits and investigations as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
• GPA above 3.0 preferred
• 0-2 years' experience in estimating
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Possess strong mathematical and computer skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic
• Work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Must be willing to travel as the job requires
Other Requirements:
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Base Compensation: $85,000 - $92,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
