Job Summary:

We're looking for a Bachelor’s Level  (TT&S or Therapeutic Training and Support Worker) to work as part of a team that includes an In-Home Therapist (IHT), for the purpose of treating a youth’s mental health, behavioral and emotional needs, including improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth to promote his/her healthy functioning within the family. The Bachelor’s Level (TT&S or Therapeutic Training and Support Worker) supports implementation of a treatment plan to assist the youth and family in achieving the goals and objectives of that plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works under the supervision of an In-Home Therapist to support the implementation of a treatment plan to assist the youth and the family in achieving the goals of the plan.
  • Teaches the youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations and to assist the family to address the youth's emotional and mental health needs.
  • Provides phone contact as part of the intervention.
  • Reviews/ and develops of a risk management/safety plan in collaboration with the youth and caregiver.
  • Works with the In-Home Therapist to provide family therapy.
  • Identifies community resources and develops natural support for youth and parent/caregiver(s) to support and sustain the achievement of the youth’s treatment plan goals and objectives.

  • Provides or secures support and crisis/emergency services for the youth/ and family.
  • Demonstrates ability to be innovative, creative, analytical, and decisive in problem-solving.

  • Awareness and sensitivity to contextual variables such as race, culture, gender, sexuality, disability, economics and lived experience.
  • Collaborates with other necessary individuals the youth and family may have contact with, such as Bureau Case Managers, Probation Officers, Judges, District Attorneys, Attorneys, Teachers, Physicians, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience Required: 1 year.
  • Degree required. Must possess an MCE-approved Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field.
  • Bilingual preferred. (Spanish/English)
