Join Komatsu and be part of something big! Komatsu is currently looking for a motivated and skilled individual with carpentry and warehouse/shipping experience to join our Capital Shipping team. Komatsu offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, annual bonus potential, and annual merit reviews.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Work safe and be an advocate for safety
  • Operate 22,000โ€36,000lb fork lift
  • Ability to secure part and pull/back buggy
  • Know how to build wooden skids
  • How to operate overhead crane
  • Know proper lifting devices and rigging procedures to load a machine
  • How to set a loader on trailer safely
  • How to prepare/pack a loader for domestic/international shipment
  • Be familiar with how trailers are put together
  • Know basic DOT rules for loading 18 wheelers (permit loads)

Qualifications/requirements:

  • High school education or GED
  • Entry-level carpentry experience
  • Ability to use construction tools, including saws, drills etc.
  • Math skills including ability to read tape measure, add, subtract, multiply, divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Computer skills a must
  • Handheld scan guns SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task effectively and meet deadlines
  • Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement
  • Must complete physical, drug screen (including hair follicle) and background investigation
  • Must be available to work 1st shift, overtime and weekends as required
