Staff Accountant

Location: Richmond, KY
Job Type: Full-time | On-site

Position Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting, auditing, tax, payroll, and bookkeeping functions for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for an entry-level accounting professional or recent graduate looking to build a career in public accounting while working closely with senior accountants and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.

  • Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.

  • Process payroll and payroll tax filings.

  • Perform bookkeeping, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and organized workpapers.

  • Assist clients with accounting software and financial reporting inquiries.

  • Research accounting and tax-related issues.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.

  • Support special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Eligibility to sit for the CPA Exam is preferred but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with accounting and tax software is a plus.
