Job description

Overview

Responsibilities

The Research Student works as a contributing member of a research team in an established laboratory of a Principal Investigator (PI).ย  Supervision of this position could be directly by the PI, other researcher including a staff scientist, postdoctoral fellow or other key personnel.ย  The Research Student position is offered to provide hands-on experience in a variety of research areas that might include organizing surveys, collecting and managing data, basic neuroscience laboratory skills (e.g., neuroanatomic, neuropharmacologic, molecular biological, neurophysiologic, biochemical, image analysis, literature search/reading and/or assisting on different research projects), clinical, or biomechanical engineering.ย  Responsibilities will vary depending on the focus of the research laboratory or nature of the research project.

Qualifications

Education:

Current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program required.ย  Completed coursework on the research project topic is preferred. ย 

Experience:

Professional experience is not required.ย  Entry level experience in the sciences is preferred.ย 

Demonstrated interest in science/research and background in biological sciences, neurosciences, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, psychology, biomechanical engineering, or other related field.
