A Payroll Tax Analyst manages payroll tax compliance, ensures accurate reporting, and provides expertise on federal, state, and local tax regulations.****This is an onsite, hybrid position in the Woodlands, TX.****Key Responsibilities*** **Tax Reporting and Payments:** Review and reconcile payroll tax payments and filings, including W-2s, W-2c’s, and quarterly/annual returns).* **Data Analysis:** Analyze payroll tax data, perform calculations, and provide insights to management for decision-making* **Process Documentation:** Design, document, and review payroll tax procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation* **Problem Resolution:** Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices, or compliance issues for multi-state entities* **Collaboration:** Work closely with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and tax reporting* **Special Projects:** Assist Payroll Tax Manager with strategic initiatives, audits, and process improvements**Required Qualifications*** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Taxation, Economics, or related fields* **Years of Experience**: 0-2**Essential Skills*** **Analytical Skills:** Strong numerical and analytical abilities to calculate taxes, deductions, and benefits accurately* **Attention to Detail:** Meticulous in reviewing payroll data and ensuring compliance with tax laws* **Communication:** Ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders and collaborate across departments* **Problem-Solving:** Capable of resolving discrepancies and handling audits effectively* **Technical Skills:** MS applications, excel, word* **AI:** AI Software tools -Microsoft Copilot preferred, not required**Seize the challenge.
