Data Analyst (Analytics & Reporting)

What you'll do:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for producing the bank's deposit and loan portfolios, understanding and transforming business data into actionable insights by building robust analytical solutions, performing advanced data analysis, and ensuring data integrity. Strong Accounting or finance skills along with experience in data analytics are required. Intermediate knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools is a plus. This role partners closely with regulatory stakeholders and data governance teams to deliver high value reporting for external filings and company performance.
  • Consolidate and prepare bank's deposit and loan portfolio and reconcile the data in the database against the general ledger.
  • Ability to work with large financial datasets and translate business requests into actionable analytical solutions.
  • Validate general ledger data against source systems and reconcile metrics ensure consistency.
  • Responsible for managing and reviewing data quality metrics of the portfolio data in the data warehouse.
  • Support in the preparation of bank's regulatory and other financial reports.
  • Create reports and analytical solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Document report definitions, calculation logic, and data lineage for transparency and auditability.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1+ years of related experience in Data Analytics & Data Management or similar field
  • Entry level knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Entry level to intermediate experience presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel including Lookups, PivotTables, and advanced formulas.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial reporting or regulatory reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
