• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health, including evaluating their emotional, psychological, and social needs to craft personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities to provide therapy, employing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy as suited to individual client needs.
• Deliver crisis intervention during acute mental health episodes, ensuring clients receive immediate and effective support to stabilize their condition.
• Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) that document treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments in alignment with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, effectively advocating for their rights and needs.
• Continue to enhance professional skills through ongoing training and participation in workshops that focus on contemporary practices in mental health therapy.

The mental health counselor will work with a diverse demographic, including children, adults, and families experiencing a spectrum of mental health challenges. These may include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more complex conditions.
