Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Engaging in effective communication and collaboration with coworkers, consumers, medical personnel, and relevant community stakeholders to promote a holistic care approach.
  • Conducting comprehensive intake diagnostic assessments that include evaluating client strengths (Gains), level of care (LOCA), crisis planning, clinical summaries, and tailored treatment planning.
  • Performing thorough assessments to identify the root causes of clients’ challenges, employing evidence-based therapeutic models to develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Facilitating referrals to psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), or substance use disorder specialists as needed for further evaluation.
  • Providing ongoing counseling services, including individual and group therapy, and monitoring client progress throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Documenting and tracking client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Virtual Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals with substance use disorders, intellectual disabilities, and a wide array of mental health issues. We prioritize culturally competent care, and you will be expected to interact and support clients from various ethnic backgrounds, lifestyles, and personal circumstances with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
