RN ED - Per Diem (Onsite-Not Remote)
East Boston, MA
Per Diem
$2.500 Sign-on Bonus

A Registered nurse holds ultimate responsibility for direct and indirect nursing care, including providing nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort. The Registered Nurse assumes a leadership role in the Emergency Department. This includes triaging patients to the appropriate level in a timely fashion, providing primary nursing care to patients of all ages, directing the general patient flow through the department, and taking appropriate steps in following up lab and x-ray results. The nurse is responsible for timely and accurate documentation of his/her nursing care in accordance with policy and procedures. The nurse is also responsible for collaboration with other members in a multi-disciplinary team. 36.25 hours/week, open schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekend and holiday rotations subject to the needs of the department.
Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program required. BSN preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience in a community health and/or ambulatory care setting.
  • Three years Emergency Department, preferred.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure.
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS, CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required.
