• Conduct thorough patient intakes and psychological assessments, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations to establish therapy objectives and treatment plans.
• Provide timely mental health interventions for patients in crisis, ensuring their immediate emotional and psychological needs are addressed effectively.
• Collaborate actively with primary care practitioners to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and psychosocial issues, thereby enhancing the efficacy of the overall care team.
• Offer essential follow-up care to evaluate patient progress, make treatment adjustments, and assist in the development of relapse prevention strategies.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate and up-to-date treatment charts according to Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) compliance requirements.
• Advocate for patients by providing education on self-management skills, behavior modification techniques, and lifestyle choices that promote long-term recovery and well-being.
• Engage in regular communication with primary care providers, ensuring a collaborative approach to treatment planning that prioritizes the patients' holistic healthcare needs.
• Assist clinic management in identifying opportunities for program development and outcome evaluations regarding behavioral services.
• Adhere strictly to the Clinical Professionals' Code of Ethics and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Brightways Recovery Plus, you will work with a diverse and multifaceted patient population, including individuals facing various mental health challenges, psychosocial issues, and general emotional distress. Your role will significantly impact these patients by providing the guidance and support they need to navigate complex mental health journeys while fostering resilience and recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health evaluation techniques, treatment planning, behavioral therapy models, and related therapeutic methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication, both verbal and written, particularly emphasizing the importance of empathy and rapport-building with clients.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate patient needs and deliver tailored treatment interventions.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

• Experience in community health settings, particularly in integrated care models that include both physical and mental health services.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses, psychotherapeutic techniques, and family systems theory is advantageous.
• Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus, contributing to effective communication with a broader patient base.
