Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient intakes that focus on diagnostic evaluations and functional assessments to determine actionable therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with primary care practitioners to identify and manage mental health and psychosocial issues, enhancing the effectiveness of the overall healthcare team.
• Provide immediate mental health interventions to patients requiring crisis support and emergency care, ensuring timely and targeted responses.
• Engage in regular follow-up evaluations to monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Create relapse prevention strategies in partnership with patients, equipping them with tools to maintain their mental health post-treatment.
• Document patient progress meticulously in electronic health records, ensuring complete and accurate treatment histories.
• Maintain open lines of communication with primary care providers regarding patient treatment plans and progress.
• Promote behavioral changes by guiding patients toward healthier lifestyle choices that can improve both their mental and physical health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Brightways Healing Plus, you will work with a diverse clientele including children, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your work will significantly impact these individuals' lives, promoting their emotional and psychological wellness and helping them navigate life's complexities.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling is mandatory.
• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license is required before starting.
• Strong understanding of mental health evaluation techniques, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Experience with a range of therapeutic methodologies, including CBT, family therapy, and group therapy, is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide sensitive support to clients in a variety of circumstances.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the impacts of mental health conditions on individuals, families, and communities.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a telehealth environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services for mental health and substance use disorders is beneficial.
• Experience working in a primary care or integrated health setting is a plus.
