Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health, identifying concerns, and creating comprehensive clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on best practices and client-specific needs, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Provide therapeutic services in individual, group, or family settings, adapting treatment approaches to fit the client's preferences and goals.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients in acute distress, ensuring immediate and effective support during critical moments.
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to all ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a holistic approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, acting as an advocate for their rights and needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and workshops to remain current with industry best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Touchstone Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a diverse client population, which may include individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a wide range of mental health challenges. You will assess and treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more, providing compassionate support tailored to each client's circumstances. Our commitment to culturally competent care ensures that we meet the unique needs of all clients from various backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an active license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for effective client evaluations.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but entry-level applicants with the right background will also be considered.
