Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic sales team in New England.  This full-time position is based primarily at our Boston showroom located at 250 Summer Street, offering an inspiring and collaborative work environment.  We also provide flexibility for occasional remote work from your home office.  The role offers a salary range of $70,000 to $85,000, plus bonus opportunities.  Final compensation will be determined based on your experience, skills and education. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists, dealers, and customers to design functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces, ensuring compliance with blueprints, building codes, and inspection requirements. 
  • Provide direct support in CAD/CET, space planning, quoting, finish recommendations and project qualification.
  • Participate in customer meetings and presentations to understand client objectives and desires and effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Allocate time to pre-sales and post-sales support, including creating quotes, ensuring workflow adherence, and enhancing customer experience. 
  • Stay updated with industry knowledge to remain relevant.
  • Engage in various design community events to boost company brand visibility and stay abreast of the latest trends. 

What you Need to Succeed

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design or a related field.
  • Previous experience in commercial furniture design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and CET is recommended (training for CET proficiency is available).
