• Conduct comprehensive assessments that identify each client's mental health concerns, ensuring accurate clinical diagnosis and the formulation of effective treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies that are tailored specifically to the unique needs and goals of clients.
• Provide crisis intervention when clients face acute mental health crises, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate support to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, social workers, and community resources—to provide comprehensive, integrated care for clients.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health concerns, treatment options, and available community resources, serving as an advocate for their rights and needs.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy by engaging in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development activities.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Avella Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to elders, including individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds. Your role will involve addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, ensuring that each client receives the comprehensive care they deserve.

• Must be licensed as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for success in this role.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to foster client trust and rapport.

• Prior experience in a community health or clinical setting is advantageous, but entry-level opportunities may be available for candidates showing strong potential.

The salary range for this position is competitive, starting at $85,000 and going up to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
