Job Summary:
Alta Technology Group is seeking a 100% Remote Junior / Entry-Level Testing Technician to support software testing efforts for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is ideal for individuals at the beginning of their technology careers who are eager to learn how software is built, tested, and improved, while working closely with developers and senior testers to validate software functionality and ensure quality releases.
Responsibilities:
• Help test software features based on user stories and requirements
• Follow step-by-step test cases and learn how to create new test cases
• Execute manual tests and document expected versus actual results
• Identify, log, and clearly report defects and issues to the development team
• Assist with generating test data and validating overall system behavior
• Participate in team reviews, meetings, and release-related activities
• Gain exposure to test automation tools and practices over time
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust or similar clearance.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice issues others may miss.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
