Location(s):

  • Pikeville Office:156 Island Creek Road, Pikeville, KY 41501 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
  • Hazard Office:1710 N Main St, Hazard, KY 41701 (Tuesday, Thursday)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
    • On Pikeville days, traditional 8am-5pm hours.
    • On Hazard days, hours are adjusted to accommodate travel (for those who do), typically shorter than the full 8-5 timeframe.

Job Summary:
The Asthma & Allergy Center is seeking a dedicated and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing excellent patient care and administrative support in our outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction:Greet patients, manage check-ins and check-outs, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
    • Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications.
    • Process payments, manage billing, and coordinate insurance verifications.
    • Maintain office supplies and assist in keeping the reception area tidy and organized.
  • Travel:
    • Travel between Pikeville and Hazard offices as per the schedule.
    • Ideal candidates would be located between these two locations to minimize travel time.
  • Team Support:Work closely with medical staff to ensure smooth operation of the clinic, including preparing patient charts, managing referrals, and supporting in other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
