Job description

Collins Community Credit Union, a growing organization, is currently hiring for a Real Estate Closer. This person will be a competitive, independent, "doer" who can problem solve and get things done through people. In this role, you will responsible for preparing real estate closing documents for delivery to secondary market investors or the Credit Union portfolio. They will coordinate with Realtors or their closing company to prepare Closing Disclosures, Settlement Statements and ensure clear titles, free of any seller or buyer judgments, liens, easements, etc.

Qualified candidates should ideally have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented and reliable, be able to multi-task, and have a positive attitude!

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Assist Real Estate Loan Officers in building member relationships by actively uncovering and evaluating members’ financial needs and answering members’ questions regarding Credit Union services.
  • Prepare real estate closing documents for delivery to secondary market investors or the Credit Union portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Realtors or their closing company to prepare Closing Disclosures, Settlement Statements and ensure clear title, free of any seller or buyer judgments, liens, easements, etc.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to Realtors and members regarding the closing process.
  • Ability to balance closing checks and associated general ledgers.
  • Review post-closing documents for delivery to secondary market investors or the Credit Union portfolio.
  • Review and settle secondary market funding.
  • Analyze closing credits/debits to refund overages and comply with post closing TRID requirements.
  • Ability to disperse closing checks and conduct general ledger transactions and balance.
  • Act as backup to loan officer to conduct closing ceremony.
  • Must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union’s products, loan polices and services.
