Job description

Project Engineer – Banquet & Custom Design Division

Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 annually
Job Type: Full-Time

Are you looking to launch your career in project management with a company that values creativity, innovation, and professional growth? We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Banquet & Custom Design Division in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional who is eager to learn, develop technical expertise, and grow into a Project Manager role.

In this position, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and the Division Leader, supporting the design, coordination, and execution of custom banquet seating and architectural feature projects. If you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with clients, and bringing creative concepts to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Project Engineering

  • Assist the Division Leader and Project Managers with all phases of project execution.
  • Prepare project submittals and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding project details, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Order materials and track procurement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review project revisions and evaluate impacts to project scope and schedule.
  • Learn the design and production process for banquet seating and custom products.
  • Develop and maintain a library of shop drawing details to improve efficiency.

Custom Design & Design/Build Support

  • Assist in growing the Design/Build portion of the Custom Features Division.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create economical, functional, and visually appealing custom architectural elements.
  • Prepare design drawings and shop drawings for custom fabrication projects.
  • Research and coordinate with trusted manufacturing partners for specialty products and custom features.
  • Gain experience working with a wide variety of materials including:
    • Metal
    • Glass
    • Wood
    • Fabrics
    • Other specialty architectural materials
  • As experience grows, participate in architectural presentations alongside the sales team to showcase the company's turnkey custom design capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Strong mathematical skills for material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAGE 100.
  • Experience with Fusion, Revit, or other 3D design software.
  • Interest in architectural design, custom fabrication, or design/build construction.
