Job Description
Join our team as a Field Specialist and become the key technical interface at well sites, delivering superior service quality to clients in the oil and gas industry. This role offers progressive career growth from entry-level to senior positions, where you'll apply specialized techniques to troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage equipment installations, and lead field operations crews. Available 24/7 to meet customer needs, you'll work hands-on with advanced technology while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Client Interface & Service Delivery: Act as the primary point of contact at well sites, managing service assignments and coordinating Weatherford personnel to ensure exceptional service quality and client satisfaction
  • Operations Management: Plan and execute jobs from preparation through completion, including tool mobilization, equipment testing, on-site operations, and timely submission of job reports, service tickets, and invoicing documentation
  • Technical Expertise: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot tools and equipment according to work instructions; perform engineering checks, hand calculations, and software computations based on real-time field data
  • Safety Leadership: Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA); maintain equipment and work areas in safe, presentable conditions while upholding HSE policies and the Company's Rules to Live By
  • Team Leadership: Senior roles will mentor junior specialists, lead equipment failure investigations, support Root Cause Analysis reports, and provide technical advisory services to management and clients
  • Inventory & Quality Control: Effectively manage site inventory and supplies; analyze data to recommend services and solutions; ensure all work meets required quality standards
  • Continuous Improvement: Follow up on equipment failures with the R&M team, contribute to research initiatives, and identify opportunities to improve products, procedures, and service delivery

Skills / Education
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 - 2½ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Technical Certificate from accredited Technical/Vocational School
  • Strong fundamentals in Mechanics, and/or Hydraulics
  • Proficiency in Mathematics, basic Physics, and computer fundamentals
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, active learning, and strong listening skills
  • Excellent reading and writing abilities with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Quality control analysis and service orientation mindset
  • Mathematical reasoning and ability to visualize tool assembly, repair, and modifications
  • Effective time management and ability to react efficiently when operating tools and machinery
  • Physical capability to perform demanding field work tasks
  • Strong information ordering skills with ability to identify and solve problems proactively
  • 50-75% of domestic travel is required. Valid Driver license.

Compensation Range: $30-$38 per hour
