Position Summary

Teleflex is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to join our Blood Products Quality Control department. The successful candidate will perform entry level QC laboratory tasks. Basic laboratory skills and GMP knowledge are necessary for this position.

This position is based at our Maple Grove, MN office.  

Principal Responsibilities

   Perform raw material inspection for Blood Products per established procedures for fresh frozen plasma, sterile water for injection, carbon dioxide, etc.
   Perform isoagglutination test for Type-A plasma titer screening per established procedure.
   Clearly and accurately record results to data forms, document the use of test reagents, equipment use/maintenance records, and laboratory environmental conditions. Maintain good record-keeping practices as required by GMP.
   Understand inspection testing and results sufficiently to recognize problems or unusual results.
   Keep track of reagents and consumables for the Blood Products QC laboratory to ensure supplies are readily available.
   Assist laboratory scientists to maintain laboratory equipment per established procedures. 
   Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, and procedures.
   Complete other duties and tasks (as assigned).

Education / Experience Requirements

   Associate degree or higher in a relevant field such as biochemistry or chemistry (high school diploma with extensive laboratory experience may be considered).
   One year of related experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

   GMP QC laboratory experience for pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices industry highly preferred.
   Experience with pipetting, dilution and reagent preparation.
   Basic knowledge of safety in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory settings.
   Strong attention to detail.
   Experience with Microsoft software - Excel, Word.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $46,700.00 - $65,400.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
