Pay Rate: Min $21.51 Mid $24.75Position Summary
Performs both x-ray BMO procedures and responsible for assisting providers with patient care, which also includes clerical or other environmental responsibilities within the offices as deemed necessary. The medical assistant/basic machine operator utilizes technology set in place for scheduling patient appointments, preparing medical records and documenting appropriate information in the electronic medical record. They provide guidance and instruct patients as per the medical provider directives. Operates x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images for medical purposes within the scope of the BMO. Maintains accurate record of completed x-ray procedures utilizing the PACS system and practices radiation safety for all procedures.

    • Performs basic radiological examinations using radiation safe practices including all quality controls/clerical duties and usage of the hospital PACS system.
    • Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x-ray/imaging services
    • Responsible for rooming and documentation of patient medical information, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
    • Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
    • Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.
    • Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

- Medical related field. Prior experience as a MA and /or BMO.
Certification Essential:
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (SMA, RMAN,CCMA, NCMA)
- CPR certification - American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Certification Preferred:
- Prior MA/BMO experience
Licenses Essential:
- Florida State license-Basic x-ray Machine Operator (BMO)
