We are looking to add a dedicated and talented Quality Control Inspector to our 2nd shift team. In this position, you will work closely on an integrated team of CesiumAstro managers, engineers, and other cross-functional personnel. You will be responsible for performing inspections on electronic assemblies and finished high reliability products in compliance with CesiumAstro Quality Management System, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute quality control processes per purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
  • Inspection of parts, assemblies, and finished products utilizing necessary tools and equipment in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and drawings.
  • Perform measurement using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and CMM/VMM.
  • Document inspection activities using electronic systems, written logs, and labels.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
  • Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
  • Assist in data analysis and department metrics reporting as required.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
  • Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
  • Other QC duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred. H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 –4 years relevant work experience or training required, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical device).
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
  • Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
  • Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
  • Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and/or IPC/WHA-A-620 certification
