Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Quality Manager in Conroe, Texasย who will report to the Regional Manager of Quality - North America and is responsible for designing the Quality program and verifying that it is successfully implemented and maintained to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.ย  This position will also serve as company QMS Representative and maintain certification to applicable ISO and API Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain knowledge of changes in industry standards, customer requirements, inspection techniques.
  • Auditing: Serve as the point of contact for customer or Certification Body audits. Lead and/or assign auditors and subject matter experts for internal, external audits, and vendor/critical supplier audits.
  • Responsible for the collecting and interpreting quality data to assist in continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Assist with Quality Management system annual Management Review, including maintaining and establishing annual Quality Objectives.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of all QMS Documents (QMS Manual, Work Instructions and QA Forms).
  • Serve as QMR to conduct customer and critical supplier related investigations.
  • Supervise QA/QC Coordinators.
  • Review of customer tenders and quality documents to help support Marketing and Operations. Reviews are to ensure Workstrings International has the capabilities to meet customers applicable quality requirements.
  • Review and approve development and revisions of Quality Control Plans for customers.
  • Review and approve Quality System Procedures and Process Control Plans.
  • Directs and continually educates QA/QC Coordinators to ensure the quality of products are consistent with established internal, customer and industry standards.
  • Assign routine Quality Assurance Operational Inspections.
  • Directs QA/QC Coordinators to monitor results of inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products and interprets data.
  • Serves as liaison for 3rd party monitor request during outgoing inspections.
  • Monitor third party offsite outgoing inspections as required.
  • Review damages resulting from 3rd party inspections of Company-owned pipe/tool(s) onsite & offsite.
  • Monitor operational compliance with Customer specifications.
  • Direct investigation of internal incidents and customer incidents.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Quality.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Must possess a strong understanding of quality systems.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to entry level employees.
  • Familiarity with popular or common quality standard.
  • Basic understanding of quality engineering and statistical techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of the quality audit process and related techniques.
  • Working knowledge of API quality and product standards, ISO-9000 series of quality system standards and the implementation, qualification and maintenance of these programs.
  • Working knowledge of temporary pipework, and related industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of computer software.
  • Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of managing and completing multiple tasks accurately and expeditiously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently and establish goals and objections with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures and effectively present information and responses to groups of managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply general to advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
