Job description

Join our team and work on the future of golf

Reports to: Hannah Salecki - QA Manager
Compensation: Competitive market cash + equity

About GOLF+

GOLF+ is building the leading platform for off-course golf. What began as the premier VR golf experience is now evolving into a connected ecosystem spanning VR, mixed reality, and simulator golf, serving millions of golfers worldwide.

Since our launch, we’ve had over 2 million downloads and nearly 5 billion shots hit in the game. We are the official VR partner of the PGA TOUR, following investment from strategic partners including Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and Mike Trout. We’re moving fast and expanding, and this is an exciting time to join us on our journey to shape the future of off-course golf.

In 2026, our focus is expansion: launching GOLF+ Putting and GOLF+ Sim, while continuing to invest in the long-term VR vision.

Why This Role Exists

GOLF+ is expanding fast from VR into mixed reality and simulator golf and quality is what keeps millions of golfers trusting the product through that growth. This role will be our only in-office QA presence, primarily responsible for our simulator initiatives, and will work directly alongside engineering in Austin to give the team a fast, physically-present feedback loop.

The Role
  • Serve as the in-office QA presence and simulator POC for the greater team, working directly alongside engineering and leadership in the Austin office
  • Spend extended, hands-on time testing our simulator technology hitting real golf balls with real clubs into a net or screen as a core, daily part of the job
  • Regularly step in on the VR/MR side of testing, executing test plans alongside our QA team
  • Partner with engineers and product in person to reproduce, clarify, and verify fixes
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions
What You’ll Own
  • Executing structured test plans across simulator, VR, and mixed reality builds (End-to-end, feature, integration, and regression testing)
  • Identifying, documenting, and flagging bugs with clear repro steps and supporting evidence (logs, captures, device info)
  • Triaging and prioritizing the bug list, driving issues through to verified-fixed
  • Validating new features, re-test old features, and ensure hardware compatibility before each release
  • Utilizing AI tools to accelerate testing workflows - generating test cases from requirements, triaging bugs, and streamlining reporting
What We’re Looking ForRequired
  • You are a golfer! You have a love and a feel for the game.
  • Able and willing to hit real golf balls, with real golf clubs, into a net or a screen, repeatedly. This is an essential function of the job.
  • Must be based in, or able to relocate to, Austin, TX, and work fully in-office
  • 1–3 years of experience in QA/testing, including at least one shipped game or interactive product
  • Work with a high degree of day-to-day independence, reporting to a remote QA Manager
  • Ability to work hands-on with VR/MR/Sim hardware and headsets for extended periods of time
Nice to Have
  • Experience testing games in VR/MR
  • Experience with testing software through engine or platform migration
  • Ability to create tools through AI or personal programming experience
Why Join GOLF+
  • Build alongside a team backed by the PGA TOUR and golf-and-sports icons including Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and Mike Trout.
  • A role that grows with you in scope and impact.

In our commitment to attracting top talent, we recognize the importance of offering competitive compensation packages, which will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

GOLF+ also cares about you and your overall well-being, and that’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees that includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, several paid holidays, and a golf stipend, among others.

GOLF+ is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. GOLF+ is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. If you need assistance or an accommodation made due to a disability, please let your recruiter know.
