What You'll Do:
As the Quality Assurance Technician, you will assist in the development, maintenance and updating of controlled documents for the Safety, Quality and Production areas, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
  • Assists in receipts of raw material, review of required supplier data, acquisition of sample retains, and release of products to manufacturing when approved to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintains equipment calibrations and calibration database to ensure compliance and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assists in planning, scheduling, conducting, and reporting Quality Management System audits to ensure compliance.
  • Documents corrective actions as required by internal and external groups to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Maintains and monitors First Article Inspection processes to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Tracks, logs, and reports daily scrap to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Communicates with internal and external groups to ensure transparency and timely communications.
  • Writes and maintains procedure processes to ensure operational consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Creates and maintains raw material approval certificates to ensure accuracy and proper recordkeeping.
  • Travels to and from all DTI buildings to collect and send out calibrated equipment, and or products for testing.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all company processes, systems, procedures, and policies including quality and all proprietary information, 100% of the time.

Position Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma, or equivalent; will consider a combination of course work and direct work experience.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance, technical documentation or quality auditing experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Certifications: ASQ or Certified Quality Technician preferred.
  • Functional Skills: Excellent Technical Writing ability/background with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organization and an ability to follow instructions, schedules, timelines and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology Skills: Strong aptitude with computers. Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written & verbal communication skills, ability to present to internal team members and customers required.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Excellent accuracy and follow-through; self-starter who is able to work independently and within teams; takes ownership and accountability in daily work; curious and continual learner who thinks outside the box; ability to listen actively, communicate effectively, and influence cross-functional teams; skilled with building relationships to support seamless project execution.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Salary based on proven expertise. - And, the compensation will grow as the business grows!
Reports To: Quality Manager
Core Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional overtime and weekend work where required; 40-45 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited; Less than 10%
Work Environment: Standard office environment
