Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a QA Automation Engineer responsible for converting business and functional requirements into reliable automated tests and reusable automation components. The engineer will work independently within an existing automation framework, create new automated test coverage, troubleshoot failures, manage test data, validate APIs and persistence layers, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate BRDs, Functional Requirements (FRs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and defects into automated Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
  • Create maintainable automation components including fixtures, Page Objects, API clients, data factories, utilities, and reusable assertions.
  • Debug failed tests and determine whether the root cause is application code, automation code, environment, configuration, network, or test data.
  • Create and maintain reliable test data, cleanup routines, and parallel-safe test execution.
  • Participate in code reviews, defect triage, test planning, regression execution, and release validation.
  • Link automated coverage and execution evidence to Azure DevOps work items and Test Plans where required.
  • Continuously improve automation reliability, execution speed, maintainability, reporting, and coverage.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of QA/testing experience required.
  • 2 years of hands-on test automation development experience required.
  • Strong Playwright or Selenium experience required.
  • Strong UI automation and REST API automation experience required.
  • Working SQL/database validation skills required.
  • Strong understanding of test design, negative testing, boundary testing, role/access testing, and regression testing required.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative code review required.
  • Experience running automation in CI/CD pipelines required.
  • Experience creating reusable fixtures, Page Objects, API clients, test-data factories, and custom reporting highly desired.
  • Advanced Playwright and TypeScript experience highly desired.
  • Experience with parallel execution and worker-safe test design highly desired.
  • Experience combining UI, API, and database validation in a single business workflow highly desired.
  • Docker/container familiarity, performance testing exposure, or accessibility testing exposure highly desired.
