Recreational Vehicle Technician - we'll train you!
AC Nelsen RV is growing and we're searching for additional RV Technicians/Mechanics to join us! If you are technically or mechanically inclined, this is the job for you! This person will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service on recreational vehicles (RV's). RV Technicians / Mechanics are paid at a flat rate for billable hours worked.
We are looking for someone who is responsible and dedicated. The RV Technician / Mechanic must be organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently, once trained. Hours will vary between 8 am-5 pm Tuesday-Saturday, or Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based upon business needs.
This RV Technician / Mechanic has daily contact with managers, co-workers, and sales personnel regarding the service of units, repairs and maintenance required. When our customers purchases a unit, this position educates the customer on the basic working functions of the product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - we'll train you!
  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair recreational vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintains records and reports.
  • Educate customers of basic up-keep and use of newly purchased recreational vehicles.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Some knowledge of:
  • Methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.
  • Safety practices and procedures.

Ability to Learn:
  • Paint and body work.
  • Mechanical design and fabrication.
  • Electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems.

Some experience with:
  • Use of power and hand tools.
  • Use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Ability to:
  • Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers' service specifications.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Education:
Willingness to learn recreational vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
