Facilities Maintenance Associate – Entry Level
Independence, OH
Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
7:30am – 4:30pm
Occasional Saturday overtime as needed

$16.00/hour to start, eligible for raise and benefits once hired on.

Crucial Link is hiring for an Entry-Level Facilities Maintenance Associate in Independence, Ohio. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn. This position plays an important role in keeping the warehouse and office areas clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and dispose of trash from warehouse and office areas 
  • Collect, sort, and process recyclable materials in warehouse and offices 
  • Operate cardboard and plastic balers after training 
  • Restock restrooms and kitchen/break areas with paper products and supplies 
  • Keep restrooms and kitchen areas clean and sanitary during working hours 
  • Clean debris from parking lot and help keep walkways clear of snow during winter 
  • Work indoors and outdoors as needed in warm and cold conditions 
  • Use a hand pallet jack and learn to operate a motorized pallet jack 
  • Learn to operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers 
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging equipment such as cleaning and lubrication after training 
  • Assist more experienced team members with facilities and maintenance projects 
  • Work overtime as needed, including some Saturdays, and adjust hours when department needs require it 
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the day 
  • Must be comfortable walking thousands of steps per day 
  • Must be able to work outside as needed in varying weather conditions 
  • Must be dependable, on time, and willing to learn 
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team 
  • Previous janitorial, warehouse, facilities, or maintenance experience is a plus, but not required 
  • Experience with pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, or balers is helpful, but training is available
