Nautilus Homes is looking for an entry-level Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents while learning every stage of custom residential construction. You'll help coordinate projects, solve technical challenges, and gain real-world experience that prepares you for future leadership opportunities.
Nautilus Homes is a second-generation, family-owned builder known for award-winning custom waterfront homes throughout Sarasota. Our reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, innovation, and exceptional client service.
What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer, you'll help ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently from planning through completion.
Responsibilities include:
  • Support Superintendent and Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Process and enter RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Track project schedules and construction progress
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor quality and field coordination
  • Help maintain accurate project records using construction management software
  • Assist with material procurement and delivery coordination
  • Identify potential issues early and help develop practical solutions
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
  • Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience through internships or entry-level roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
