Staff Accounting
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Mobile, AL

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for an entry level position to work directly with the Controller in a growing and professional business environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and business operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to work with multiple departments and personalities to gather information, solve problems, and keep projects moving forward.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Controller with daily accounting and administrative functions
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Collect and reconcile information from various departments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Research discrepancies and follow up with appropriate personnel
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis as requested
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Communicate professionally with internal departments and management
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
