Job description

Alpine Heating and Air Conditioning is looking for a HVAC Residential Lead Installer!! 

The Lead Installer will install heating and air conditioning systems to company standards providing the customer with high-quality experience. The Lead Installer will supervise the work of other installers, maintaining high quality and timely job performance.

Location: 4747 W 11th Avenue, STE D Eugene, OR 97402

Salary range: $25 - $40/hr. DOE

Hours: Fulltime – Monday - Friday

Job shift: Day

Essential Job Functions:

  • Advanced understanding of layout, design, fabrication and installation
  • Advanced Safety knowledge of tools, testing devices and surroundings
  • Basic fabrication knowledge of sheet metal fittings
  • Ability to do perform basic pre-construction layout
  • Ability to do accurate material take-offs on construction blueprints
  • Ability to foresight and planning for ordering materials to keep project moving efficiently
  • Size and draw duct work correctly
  • Start up and trouble shoot furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps and condensing units
  • Understanding of line and low voltage wiring, relays, transformers, wiring diagrams
  • Excellent customer relations skills and an open mind to think outside of the box
  • Ability to train entry level personal

Required License and Experience:

  • 2 years of experience as a lead installer
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate company vehicle daily
  • Follow instructions from supervisor and carry them out in timely manner
  • Supervise and be responsible for other installers
  • Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly
  • Work well with customers, co-workers and subcontractors
  • Work staggered schedule if required
  • Maintain professional relationships with builders
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Run a job without supervision
  • Complete jobs within the labor budget
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, job packets, change orders, timecards
  • Train entry level employees
  • 16 hours of job-related training annually
  • Run and work a job from start to finish
  • Other duties assigned

Work environment:

  • Working in tight spaces
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs
  • Occasionally high levels of dust
  • Working on-site at client’s home
