Electrician
What this job involves:
As an Electrician at JLL, you'll play a vital role in keeping our clients' facilities operating safely and efficiently. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and industrial properties, while also supporting general maintenance needs that keep buildings running smoothly. You'll work with cutting-edge electrical systems and collaborate with talented trades professionals who share your commitment to quality and safety. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures across commercial and industrial facilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installations

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and systematic problem-solving approaches

  • Ensure all electrical installations meet local and national electrical codes and safety standards

  • Assist with and regularly perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, door repairs, drywall work, and HVAC system maintenance

  • Collaborate with other trades professionals and project managers to complete projects on time and to specification

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and identifying potential hazards

  • Document work performed, materials used, and maintain accurate service records

Required qualifications:
  • Valid General Journeyman, LME, MPE, or Electrician license

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an electrician

  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints

  • Demonstrated experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail

  • General maintenance knowledge and familiarity across various building systems and maintenance tasks

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred qualifications:
  • Industrial mechanical or millwright experience

  • Experience with building automation systems and energy management controls

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Additional trade certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or related disciplines
