Job description

Junior Inside Sales Representative
  1. Educational requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field preferred; 1-3 years'experience in inside sales, customer service, or manufacturing support; Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments preferred; Basic ability to read technical drawings and specifications (training provided); Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Medical plastics experience and ERP system experience a plus; Strong math and communication skills and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  2. Reports to: Inside Sales Manager & Project Manager
  3. Primary job responsibility: The Junior Inside Sales Representative supports Sales by assisting with quotations, order coordination, customer communication, and general organization efforts. This role focuses on building technical knowledge of medical plastic extrusion products and processes while developing strong customer service and sales support skills. The Junior Inside Sales Representative may work interdepartmentally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service under guidance from senior team members.
  4. Essential functions of the position:
  1. Identify, evaluate, and respond to all incoming requests for information, samples, and quotations;
  2. Identify and clarify any missing or unclear information from customers to aid in data collection for the draft quotation;
  3. Assist in researching current, past, and similar project pricing. Collect pertinent information from customer files to include with draft quote packet;
  4. Assist in drafting sales quote requests;
  5. Maintain Sales Quote log;
  6. Screen, qualify, triage, and document all incoming Sales-related phone calls;
  7. Assist in proactive and strategic project outreach, including sales quote follow-up;
  8. Maintain Sales Quote and Prototype Purchase Order files;
  9. Assist as back-up in PO Queue Tracking;
  10. Prepare Feasibility & Development Close Out Forms;
  11. Maintain and regularly update the Sample Tube Log spreadsheet as needed;
  12. Enter sample shipments in the Request Log Excel spreadsheet.
  13. Assist with the research and collection of samples per customer and/or internal requests;
  14. Maintain NDA Excel spreadsheet file and file paper copies in a binder for Sales;
  15. Assist with creating and monitoring the company's social media presence;
  16. Assist with content creation, such as blog posts, etc. for social media;
  17. Assist in tracking and trending Sales department KPIs, creating graphs, tables, and reports for projects;
  18. Assist in data collection, entry, research, and management for Sales and Customer Service as needed;
  19. Perform related responsibilities as required for Sales, Customer Service, and Other tasks as assigned by management.
  20. Sort and file digital and hard copy paperwork;
  21. Cross-Train in Customer Service for redundancy.
