Morgan Metals Inc – Athens, AL

$40,000 - $55,000 salary per year | Day Shift

Morgan Metals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in manufacturing management and estimation. The Entry Level Estimator will assist in preparing cost estimates for manufacturing projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in pricing as well as creating CAD drawings for new projects. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Salary $40,000–$55,000 per year depending on expierence
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:45 PM
  • Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Disability, PTO, Holidays, 401k (with company match)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for various manufacturing projects.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
  • Search out vendors and subcontractors required to support business needs.
  • Update and/or create CAD drawings to support project submittals

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with metal fabrication, complex sheet metal processing, welding processes, as well as blueprint reading.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software
  • Working knowledge of ProShop or other manufacturing ERP software.
  • Experience working in and ISO9001 environment a strong plus.
