Job description

This role provides exposure to broader business operations, product line strategy, and project execution. The long-term objective is to develop a well-rounded individual who can grow into a larger product line, project management, or business leadership role over time. Candidates with or without ESP experience may be considered, depending on overall aptitude, initiative, learning agility, and potential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project management and product line activities to help ensure business goals, project milestones, and product line objectives are accomplished within established time frames and expectations.
  • Assist with case study data collection, organization, analysis support, and documentation.
  • Support catalog updates, product documentation updates, and coordination of technical or commercial product information.
  • Track and coordinate new product trials, including status updates, action items, documentation, and follow-up with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing commercial agreements, proposals, and related customer or internal documentation with guidance from management or senior personnel.
  • Create presentation materials, business summaries, customer-facing content, and internal communication materials with guidance.
  • Liaise with NOV Marketing to support marketing material development, product literature, campaigns, trade show preparation, customer events, and event coordination.
  • Assist with various operational, administrative, and product line activities that support day-to-day business execution.
  • Spend time working alongside project management resources to gain exposure to project execution, customer communication, scheduling, cost awareness, documentation control, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Serve as a support point of contact for assigned initiatives and coordinate communication between product line, project management, sales, engineering, operations, supply chain, marketing, and other internal groups.
  • Participate in internal and customer-facing meetings as needed; assist with agendas, meeting notes, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Support tracking of deliverables, schedules, open items, risks, and action registers related to assigned projects or product line initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring project or product line activities and escalate issues, delays, or gaps to the appropriate manager.
  •  Support continuous improvement efforts related to documentation, communication, product line processes, reporting, and project execution.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support assigned product line group activities, including administrative, commercial, operational, marketing, and project-related initiatives.
  • Assist with ESP-related product line activities as applicable; prior ESP experience is preferred but not required.
  • Coordinate with product line leadership, project management, sales, engineering, marketing, operations, and other teams to support business priorities.
  • Help organize product information, case studies, trial updates, commercial materials, presentations, and internal reporting.
  • Support customer, product, and market-facing initiatives that help improve product line visibility, execution, and long-term growth.
  • Participate in developmental assignments intended to build business acumen, product knowledge, project management capability, and cross-functional understanding.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current enrollment in, or completion of, an MBA program preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field required or preferred depending on candidate experience.
  • Early-career professional with 0-3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, product management, business operations, marketing, engineering, sales support, or a related environment.
  • Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, industrial equipment, artificial lift, ESP, or energy services preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent combination of education, aptitude, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated interest in project management, product line management, commercial operations, business strategy, or energy products and services.

  • Ability to take direction, seek clarification when needed, and complete assignments with a high degree of ownership and professionalism.
  • Ability to learn technical product information and translate it into useful business, commercial, or customer-facing materials.
  • Basic understanding of project management, commercial agreements, marketing coordination, product documentation, or operational processes preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle business, customer, commercial, and product information appropriately.
  • May require occasional travel to NOV facilities, customer locations, supplier locations, field locations, or industry events.
